The race starts on Upper Mill Street at the corner with Frederick Street. Around the Marshall you go before the leg ripping descent back the way you came to finish where you started. In total the race is approximately 5.4 kilometres with a combined ascent of 663 metres.

Please note that full windproof body cover may be required to be carried by all competitors depending on weather conditions, so please come prepared. Fell shoes are also strongly recommended due to the steepness of ascent and descent. There will be a race briefing on the start line just prior to the 7.30pm start. The race will be well marshalled at key junctions and we will be operating a last runner sweeper. Scottish Hill Runners rules apply. Free juice and biscuits at the finish.
