Venue
When: 11.00am, Sunday 27th December 2009. The Hall will be open from 9.30am for registration and to collect your race numbers.
Where: Centenary Hall, Hamilton Street, Tillicoultry, FK13 6EL. The Hall is approx 400m from the start.

Race route
The race starts on Upper Mill Street at the corner with Frederick Street. From here you head directly up Tillicoultry Mill Glen and onto the lung bursting ascent leading ultimately to the cairn on the summit of The Law. Around the cairn you go before the leg ripping descent back the way you came to finish where you started. In total the race is 5.3 kilometres with an ascent of 594 metres.
The record to the summit is 22.27, and the course record is 32.51.

The overall winner will also receive the Alan Graham memorial trophy. This is in dedication to Alan who loved to walk and run the Ochil Hills, and was a resident of Tillicoultry until he sadly passed away from cancer in August 2008.

PLEASE NOTE THAT FULL WINDPROOF BODY COVER WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE CARRIED OR WORN BY ALL COMPETITORS. Fell shoes are also strongly recommended due to the steepness of ascent and descent. There will be a race briefing on the start line just prior to the 11.00am start.The race will be well marshalled at key junctions and we will be operating a last runner sweeper. Scottish Hill Runners rules apply.
After the race there will be free tea, soup and biscuits back at the Centenary Hall together with the results and prize giving.
